Kate has 12 years experience working in schools & with the Department of Education Victoria as well as experience in health and NGO sectors.

The story so far
Social Work for You is led by Kate Kingsbury, an AASW-registered Social Worker with a credential in School Social Work and over 15 years of experience working in education, health and non-government sectors.​
Kate is passionate about social justice, particularly for children and those who support them.
​
Kate has successfully led wellbeing teams, delivered individual and group interventions within a range of schools, co-led critical incident responses with school leaders and revitalised school wellbeing strategies.
As a former Department of Education employee, she has mentored education leaders, supported many diverse schools with Respectful Relationships and contributed to Mental Health and Family Violence Reform. Kate's background also includes work in Out of Home Care, Parent Education, Family Services and hospital social work.​

Social Work for You is committed to supporting the wellbeing of both staff and students, with a focus on providing high-quality support for wellbeing professionals. Kate offers supervision, coaching and tailored projects to meet your school’s unique needs.
